PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND SHIPPING DELAYS AFFECTED BY THE CORONAVIRUS CONTAINMENT EFFORTS

 Updated May 30, 2020

Most of our manufacturers and craftsmen are back to work and producing our items. Production times are running slightly longer for some items due to reopening restrictions. But in general, items are being produced fairly quickly. That's the good news!

The bad news is that we are experiencing significant shipping delays world-wide due to reduced land and air freight operations and shipping facilities being overwhelmed with packages. There are not enough trucks, planes and staff to handle the increase of packages. PLEASE be patient with the shipping carriers while your package snails along. They are working as quickly as they can with limited transportation resources. We know you are likely excited to receive your order but we can't make it move along any faster given the current shipping crisis. It's a situation that is completely out of our control.

For U.S. customers, we have also been forced to use trackable USPS shipping as the major carriers like UPS, FedEx and DHL (which we normally use for some of our items) have raised their rates 3 times in the past month to astronomical amounts. $35 for 14-21 day ground shipping and up to $70 for express. This is unacceptable and no one should have to pay those kinds of rates for shipping. We do expect the rates to drop and we will resume using them in the future but until they do, we have to stick with the good old fashioned mail system. As slow as it might be right now.

Additionally, a few of our items that come from Europe and Asia are sitting in customs inspections for an unusually long time. The inspection centers (like the shipping centers) are overloaded with packages and they are being processed very slowly.

We are just as disappointed as you are about the current situation in the U.S. and around the world and we are praying fervently for some kind of normalcy to return soon.

If you have any questions about production or delivery times, please send us a message through our contact form, our chat feature or our social media channels. We are all in this together and we will get through this together as well.
