PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AFFECTED BY THE CORONAVIRUS CONTAINMENT EFFORTS

Most of our manufacturers in the U.S. are still working and producing our items. Ship times have slowed down a bit due to shipping carrier cut backs and reduced air freight operations. Our manufacturer in England is still up and running as well as our 2 manufacturers in Asia.

In March, two of our producers have temporarily shut down due to state mandated virus containment efforts.

Keepsake Boxes and Beer Steins

The producer of our keepsake boxes and beer steins, who is located in San Francisco, CA, is on a temporary shut down that started on March 15. The shipping of these items will be delayed by 2-3 weeks.

Ceramic mugs and transitional mugs

The producer of our custom ceramic and transitional mugs, located in Detroit, MI, is on a temporary shut down that started on March 23. The shipping of our mugs will be delayed by 2-3 weeks.

We are just as disappointed as you are about the current situation in the U.S. and around the world and we are praying fervently for all of this to be over soon.

The good news that isn’t being reported in the media is that the containment efforts in China, which consisted of a 2-3 week shut down of certain providences, were very successful. We were regularly informed by our two manufacturers in China about the closures and they were able to flatten the curve very quickly with the stay at home measures taken. With this information in mind, we are optimistic that the current crisis will run it’s course quickly in the U.S. and we will all be able to resume a normal working life again soon.

If you have any questions about production or delivery times, please feel free to contact us through our contact form, our chat feature or our social media channels. We are all in this together and we will get through this together as well.

As an additional note, yes, we do have a few products made in China - mostly our handbags and shoes because we have zero manufacturing resources for them here in the U.S. Their factories were closed for a 3 week period and in order for them to go back to work, the workers had to be healthy and virus free and the factories had to be sanitized. Proof of sanitization had to be submitted to the government in order for their doors to be opened again. We have been working with these two manufacturers for many years and they are lovely, hard-working people - talented craftsmen and women just like us who care for the health, safety and well-being of their families. They love making our items and producing high quality products is their main focus. While their government is questionable, their people in general, are good people. Let us not condemn and turn our backs on the Chinese people because of their government, but rather pray for them. They are just as much God’s children as we are.
